Custom Logos

The F3 Gear Team can help you create custom screen printing of F3 shirts to represent your region or workout group. All you need is a badass design for the back logo and at least 12 orders.  For questions about the 12 order min, see the FAQ at the bottom of this page.

 

Here's how it works:

 

1) The Q: Decide who will be the almighty Q for the shirt order. Trust us, design by committee is worse than burpee broad jumps.

2) Order Type: Decide if you want to manage the collection of shirt sizes, chase down money from all your guys and pay with one credit card (single bulk order), or if you want the F3 Gear Store to create an order page that does all that for you for free.  The only advantage to a single bulk order is it might save a little time.  If you go that route, you are done at step 7. 

 

3) Logo: Come up with your design idea for the back logo. All shirts will have the same F3 logo on the front to keep us looking like one F3 Nation. You can consult the F3 Brand Rules at this link, but the cliff notes version is to keep it clean and don't integrate the F3 circle logo into your back logo design.  

 

A note about shirt colors: After the first two years of doing custom logos, we highly recommend that new AOs create a logo design that looks great on badass black shirts.  That will give you the most flexibility of shirt offerings now and in the future.  If you really want to adopt a color, consider doing that in the logo itself, instead of a shirt color.  Badass black hides stains, sweat, and blood.  It looks cool, but most importantly it is the least likely color to give you availability problems, printing delays, and unhappy PAX.

 

A note about how logos influence shirt pricing: Single color (white) back logos look great on black and are reflected in the pricing below.  Additional colors (including gray) will have additional screen fees and printing charges that add to the cost of each shirt (about $2 per color).  If you'd like some professional help with your logo, we have some very talented designers in the PAX who you can contact to discuss your idea and pricing for their help.  We can also discuss adding to the price of each shirt if you want to spread any design fees and have us pay your designer.  If there are other designers in the PAX who want to be listed below, please let us know.

9) Go Live: Upon your approval, the product page will be set live for taking real orders from your PAX by credit card.  You will get an email alert for each order so you can keep up with how the order is going.

10) Market your shirt: announce and market your shirt order with your Pax - post, email, tweet, COTs.  If you want to buy any extra shirts to have on hand, be sure to place those orders before the deadline as well.

11) Sale End: At the order deadline, the product page will be changed to no longer accept orders and payments from your PAX.  A "wait list" image will appear on the product photo and your PAX will now only have the ability to enter their email address to be alerted the next order round.  The final order count will be sent to the screen printer for production. Turnaround time from this point is usually 2.5 to 3 weeks but may vary based on demand. You will receive a spreadsheet of all the shirt orders for your reference.  

12) Delivery: You will be notified when your shirts ship from the screen printer, either to you or to the fulfillment center.

FAQ: 
Can I get a different shirt style?
The shirts offered above were selected because they offer the best availability and prices we could find. Sourcing different shirts can slow down the process and is not encouraged. However, if you need something different, just ask and we'll see what we can do.

Can I use my own local screen printer?
Not easily.  The fastest and easiest path to custom shirts is to use our existing providers, but new screen printers can be set up to produce F3 orders if there is good reason to do so.  It will take some additional time to establish the relationship and terms and shirt options with that provider.  Policies and prices must be negotiated to include royalties to F3 for logo use, fees for payment processing, and other handling of sales tax.

Can I make my own F3 shirts?
F3 Gear sales are one of the primary means by which F3 supports expansion and pays the costs of managing the F3 website and other programs. For this reason, The F3 Gear store has been designated as the only officially licensed provider of gear with the F3 logo.

What if I don't get 12 orders? 
You can either buy the remaining shirts yourself to hold and sell later, or we can refund every purchaser's money, but we'll probably keep yours for wasting our time. Kidding. Sort of.

Can shirt styles be combined to meet the 12 shirt minimum?
Yes, except for UA.  You must have a min of 12 UA shirts plus a min of 12 of the other shirts in your order. 

Can I get a free shirt as the order Q?
You are free to add $2 per shirt to enable that for your trouble, provided you can withstand the beatings your PAX may administer. But the prices above do not reflect this.

Can I do a re-order of the same shirt in the future?
Yes, you can start over at step 7, but you still need to hit the 12 shirt minimum.
